Missouri American Water names Jody Carlson as Director of Operations for Northwest Missouri
ST. JOSEPH, MO (March 21, 2022) – Missouri American Water today announced that Jody Carlson has been named Director, Operations for Missouri American Water. In this role, Carlson will continue to oversee operations for the company’s northwest district and work with communities facing water and wastewater challenges to facilitate economic growth and long-term sustainability in the region.

Carlson joined Missouri American Water in 2015 as a Senior Operations Manager. A lifelong resident of northwest Missouri, Carlson has more than 25 years of engineering experience. He holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri and is registered as a licensed professional engineer in Missouri.

Prior to Missouri American Water, Carson was the Public Works Director for the City of St. Joseph and an engineer over district maintenance, traffic, construction and materials for the Missouri Department of Transportation.
In addition to his professional roles, Carlson serves on the Board of Directors for the St. Joseph Area Chamber of Commerce, additionally serving on the chamber’s economic development, executive and government relations committees. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Mosaic Life Care Foundation and Pivotal Point Transitional Housing.
