Indiana American Water Names Phil Drennan, Regulatory and Rates Director

GREENWOOD, Ind. (August 26, 2023) Indiana American Water today announced that it has named Phil Drennan regulatory and rates director.

Drennan brings several years of regulatory, financial planning and analysis to his new position. Prior to joining Indiana American Water, he served as vice president of finance for Nexus Water Group. He has also worked at Corix Group of Companies, where he had increasing responsibilities over nearly eight years on the Financial Planning & Analysis team, starting as a senior analyst, manager and regional director of the East and South Regions.

“Drennan brings to Indiana American Water exceptional water industry expertise. His deep understanding of our industry’s rate and compliance requirements, and his commitment to excellence will make him an invaluable asset to our team,” said Indiana American Water President Matt Prine.

“The water and wastewater industry faces numerous challenges and opportunities, including the urgent need to replace aging infrastructure nearing the end of its useful life,” Prine said. “I am eager to collaborate with Phil to tackle these challenges and ensure we continue to serve our customers’ best interests.”

Drennan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s Geis College of Business. He also attended Oakton College, earning a Certificate Program and Accounting, and achieved his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
